The large garden is ideal for kids to play in, with views over the fields and the mountains. The house is perfect for family get togethers or a couple of friends. The house consists of four bedrooms, two bathrooms of which one is en suite, a sun room, an open-plan living area with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast counter, and indoor braai facilities. "There is something magical about the vast semi-desert region known simply as the Karoo. Despite its frequent droughts and extremes of climate, the Karoo nurtures life in great abundance and its plains teem with animals of every description. After the seasonal rains the recovery of the veld is miraculous: frogs chorus in full throat and a carpet of brilliant flowers spreads dramatically over the once barren wasteland. To the passing motorist who has been driving in the heat for hour upon hour, its desolation and aridity seem harsh indeed. But to those who have been captivated by its fierce beauty, the Karoo is a place unlike any other… Once it has courted you and won you, there is really no other life." Karoo Ridge Conservancy is full of wonderful rocky outcrops, ridges and cliffs. The Karoo is one of the most diverse arid areas in the world. Thought of as a barren area made up of small shrubs and grasses by most, it has an abundance of interesting plant species, with wonderfully bright flowers. Being on the edge of the Great Escarpment, Karoo Ridge Conservancy has the advantage of falling into 2 different vegetation types, the False Upper Karoo Veld and Karroid Merxmuellera Mountain Veld. The Great Brak River (a tributary to the Great Fish River) runs through the property and this adds the river thicket element with Acacia trees, wetlands and reedbeds.
